Grant awarded to Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Abuse Services, 1998-2001, Mayra Rodriguez-Howard, P.I. Funding source: Center for Substance Abuse Treatment. I wrote the grant for the state and am responsible for study design and execution. Project is designed to create a sustainable performance and outcome monitoring system (POMS) for the state’s substance abuse treatment system as part of a cooperative agreement among 19 states.
Principal Investigator. Longitudinal Studies of Smoking Behavior. Funding source: Massachusetts Tobacco Control Program, 1998-1999. Contract to study youth smoking over the middle and high schools utilizing a seven-year longitudinal data set.

Grant awarded to Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Abuse Services, 1998-2001, Mayra Rodriguez-Howard, P.I. Evaluation conducted by Health and Addictions Research in partnership with Social Science Research and Evaluation. Funding source: Center for Substance Abuse Prevention. MassCALL is the Massachusetts State Incentive Grant (SIG) designed to revamp the state’s prevention infrastructure leading to coordinated prevention planning and the adoption of science-based prevention models. I lead the evaluation team.
